Want to get your hands on your first Bit? Just follow these steps!

1. On the ETCBits website, click on “Mint new ETCBits.com” on the left side of the screen.
2. Connect your Metamask wallet by pressing on “Connect Wallet” at the top right corner or “Connect Metamask” at the centre of the page. Remember to install the Ethereum Classic node, as you will need it to mint your Bit. Instructions for installing Metamask can be found bellow.
3. Once your Metamask wallet is connected, choose the amount of ETCBits you want to mint and click on “Mint X Bit for X ETC”
4. You will be redirected to your Metamask wallet, where you will need to accept the transaction
5. Once this is done, your Bit should mint and appear in the “My portfolio” page. Congratulations on your mint! 

1. Go to the Metamask Chrome Extension page
2. Click “Add to Chrome” in the upper right.
3. Click “Add Extension” to complete the installation.
4. You will know Metamask has been installed when you see the fox logo on the upper right hand corner of your browser.
5. Click on the Metamask logo in the upper right hand corner of your Google chrome browser.
6. Read and agree to the terms and conditions. You may have to agree to 2 to 3 pages worth of terms.
7. Enter a password and click “Create” to create your wallet.
8. You will see a set of 12 “seed words” for your vault. Click “Save Seed Words as File” and copy the “MetaMask Seed Words” file that is downloaded to a safe place. It is very important you save it! You will need it to access your vault.
9. Click “I’ve Copied It Somewhere Safe” once your seed words file has been secured. You’ll be taken into your Metamask wallet!
10. Congratulations! You have created an account on the main network.
11. You are now in the Ethereum mainnet network. To start experimenting with Metamask, you can switch to one of the testnet networks by clicking “Main Network” in the left hand corner of the wallet pop up screen. To install the ETC mainnet network, check the instructions below

1. Click on your Metamask chrome extension and click on the profile picture at the top right corner of the app, and click “Settings”
2. Scroll down through the settings and click on “Networks”
3. Once redirected, click on “Add Network”
4. Once redirected, fill out the boxes with the following information
1. Network Name: Ethereum Classic
2. New RPC URL: https://www.ethercluster.com/etc
3. ChainID: 61
4. Symbol: ETC
5. Block Explorer URL: https://blockscout.com/etc/mainnet/
6. Once its filled out, click “Save”
5. Congratulations, you have connected the Ethereum Classic with Metamask

1. Use the withdraw option to withdraw your Ethereum Classic from an exchange system. Platforms where ETC can be purchased can be found here
2. Open the MetaMask extension. Ensure that the wallet is on the Ethereum Classic network, and after that, copy the address by clicking on Account X at the top of the extension
3. Paste the address you copied from MetaMask in the address field on the exchange system. 
4. Confirm your withdrawal in the exchange system
5. You should now receive a confirmation for your withdrawal of ETC
6. After a short-while, you should be able to see ETC in your Metamask extension (Ethereum Classic Mainnet)

How to add ETC to Metamask

1. Use the withdraw option to withdraw your Ethereum Classic from an exchange system. Platforms where ETC can be purchased can be found here
2. Open the MetaMask extension. Ensure that the wallet is on the Ethereum Classic network, and after that, copy the address by clicking on Account X at the top of the extension
3. Paste the address you copied from MetaMask in the address field on the exchange system. 
4. Confirm your withdrawal in the exchange system
5. You should now receive a confirmation for your withdrawal of ETC
6. After a short-while, you should be able to see ETC in your Metamask extension (Ethereum Classic Mainnet)
